How to Export Chat History from WhatsApp

Copy from WhatsApp Web

  1. Open WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com)
  2. Open the chat you want to analyze
  3. Scroll to load the messages you want to save
  4. Click and drag to select the messages
  5. Press Ctrl + C (Windows) or ⌘ + C (Mac)
  6. Paste directly into the text box below

💡 Tip: Load older messages by scrolling up before selecting

Export from WhatsApp Mobile

  1. Open WhatsApp on your phone
  2. Open the chat you want to analyze
  3. Tap the three dots (Android) or the contact name (iOS)
  4. Scroll down and tap "Export Chat"
  5. Select "Without Media" when prompted
  6. Choose how to share/save the ZIP file
